A cold.....

Carmen has slowly seemed to get more and more congested.  I took her temp this morning and she was running a fever, so off to the dr. we went.   It just so happened that her one month checkup was supposed to be this coming Monday so we were able to combine the appointments into one.

They were concerned that she had the RSV virus which is very common in children and if not caught early, could lead to hospitalization.  After a bloody murder scream from the swab in her nose, thankfully the test came back negative.

Next they drew blood to check her white blood count.  Again after some very intense screaming, they were able to get enough and concluded that Carmen has a viral infection.... :-(  So we let it take its course and give her tylenol in hopes that will help..............

Her one month stats:

21.5 inches -  75th percentile
11.2 lbs - 95th percentile
14.8 inch head - 75th percentile

What does this mean.... my baby likes to eat :-)

Hoping she gets better soon!!!!!!!!!!!!

Skala Family Christmas

We spent Christmas Day with the Skala Family.  Another fun and memorable day.  Although Carmen won't remember it,  she again got lots of great gifts.

I didn't get any pictures, but a few years back we started the tradition of sledding on Christmas.  All the kids go outside and sled down the hill.   This year, Grandpa even joined us.   The snow was so deep he had to snowblow a path down the hill for us.   We also put silicone on the back of the sleds to make them go faster.   We had a great time!   I ended up going the farthest and I think Andy won for the most creative falls....... he was starting to get a sore neck yesterday.

Thanks Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Erin, Uncle Adam, Conor, Riley and Auntie Laura for a very fun and memorable day and for all the great gifts!

Benedict Family Christmas

On Christmas Eve we spent the day with the Benedict Family.    What a fun first Christmas Eve for Carmen.   Although she slept through gift opening, she is one lucky girl..... she got so many great gifts.

Thanks Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Christina, Uncle Mike, Ella, Adam, Auntie Nikki and Brooke for all the great gifts!

Pictures from two weeks old to three weeks old.........

Just catching up on posts.... here are some pictures from two weeks to three weeks old.

Time is flying by!  I can't believe it's already been almost a month!

Uncle Adam and Aunt Erin were in town for 10 days, along with Conor and Riley.   Carmen and I were able to spend lots of time with them this past week. Carmen even had her first trip to the Mall of America.

Carmen met my friend Marnie.

Carmen's Newborn Pictures

Here are just a few of Carmen's newborn pictures.  We ventured out in the blizzard a few weeks ago to get them done.

We couldn't be happier with how they turned out!

Two weeks old

I can't believe how fast time is flying by.  Carmen is two weeks old today and she is changing everyday.

We are still doing well..... Daddy had to go back to work this week but we are doing well without him.  We miss him lots during the day and look forward to him coming home!

Here are some pictures from the past few days.

Blizzard Pictures

Here are pictures from the blizzard last weekend.

This is one of our windows upstairs... it's over half covered with snow.
Our Front Porch..... normally we keep it clean.   But the pile just got too big.... it's up to the bottom of our living room window.

The snow pile in our front yard.
The roof.  Again a picutre of how high the snow piled up against the windows.

Another picture of the snow pile in the front yard.
