Look out world.... here she comes!
It's official.... Carmen is crawling. She crawled across the living room tonight all on her own! Here's a video to show it.

Transition Time
We are currently in the process of trying to get Carmen to take bottle from us at home. I've been solely nursing along with giving her baby food and have decided it's time to be done.
Saturday was a bit rough and she absolutely threw a fit. She was overtired, but didn't want a bottle, didn't want to take a nap and didn't want to eat. After Daddy had her for quite a while, I took my turn and she decided to eat. I got about 5 bites in her and this was the result...... guess she was a bit tired!

Beautiful Morning
Saturday morning was super nice. Carmen and I took a nice long walk and then hung out in the front yard for a while enjoying the nice breeze.
Shantytown
Each week before and/or after softball we go to Shantytown Bar for a few drinks and burgers. They are our team sponsor this year!
Last week Carmen was exhausted and she fell asleep in Gretchen's arms.

Swimming Lesson's #2
Last week we had the second session of swimming lessons. Carmen did much better. She seemed to be having fun.
The one funny thing is Daddy put her on the edge of the pool and sang Humpty Dumpty and then gradually dipped her chin in the water. After singing it once, the second time around Carmen started to wimper even before he brought her towards the water.
Towards the end, Carmen's teacher dipped her face in the water and then Daddy did the same thing. No crying at all from Carmen...... progress!

Fathers Day
We started out taking it pretty easy on Fathers Day. Carmen hasn't been feeling the greatest and had a horrible night of sleep on Saturday night. (Up 4 times between 1 and 5). Therefore Mommy and Carmen were exhausted.
Here's Daddy and Carmen on his first Fathers Day!
We spent Fathers Day with both families at my parents house.
It ended up being a very warm day and Carmen wasn't feeling too great :-( But it was still fun.
On a side note, she screamed the whole car ride home and she NEVER does that.... she also didn't want to get put down at all. She ended up sleeping through the night and took AWESOME naps at daycare. She also sucked her bottles down and ate her food extremely well today. We think it's a combination of teething and a growth spurt. Hopefully she'll get through this quick as Mommy is exhausted. (I should be sleeping right now). I've got the blog updated now, so I'm off to bed.

Andy's Birthday
Saturday was Andy's Birthday. We spent most of the day just laying low and hanging out as a family.
Carmen and Daddy
Saturday night Andy and I went to the Twins Game with Mike and Christina. What a fun night! Thanks again guys for joining us and helping to celebrate Andy's birthday!!!
After the game we went to Don Pablos for a few more drinks. Andy got to wear the hat and they sang to him.... he even got in the spirit and stood up on the chair while they sang.
