Carmen has just started to really like her exersaucer....

 Although she is crying in this picture,  she was having a good time a few seconds earlier.   She loves to stand and push herself up.

Getting Big

Since Friday and Saturday were so busy, we took it fairly easy Sunday before heading to celebrate Grandma Benedict's birthday.

In the last day or so she's really starting to drool and blow bubbles.....  I am thinking she's working on those first teeth (even if they don't come in for a few months).

Saturday we had our nephew Adam's 2nd Birthday party.   When I went to pick up Carmen, she needed a bath, so Grandma helped me out by giving Carmen a bath at her house.

Night Out.....

Friday night we had our annual WCHA College Hockey Final Five game that we go to.  This year we went with my sister Laura and our friends Neil and Reena.   It was our first full night away from Carmen as she slept over at Grandma and Grandpa's house.   I am proud to say I only sent my Mom a few texts to check on her. Carmen did very well for her first sleepover.

Carmen is really into playing with her toys and on the mat at home.  

Some of her favorite toys are her star,  the rings and the little bumblebee.

Our Big Girl.....

We are currently at 7 of the last 9 nights that Carmen has slept through the night.   That usually consists of going to sleep anywhere between 9 and 10 and not waking up until between 5 and 6.   I am feeling quite refreshed and rested! :-)

Carmen is getting to be so strong.  She can hold her own head up and is loving more and more to sit up and look around rather than laying down.  Here are some picutres of our big girl!

New Obsession....

Carmen has always been into putting her hands in her mouth, but this week it has really gotten noticeable.   Whether it's her hands,   her thumb :-( or a blanket etc.  it was seems like she is trying to put something in her mouth.

3 Months

I can't believe Carmen is 3 months old today!  Time is going faster and faster each day!

 

What is new with Carmen?

Carmen...

... weighs between 14 and 15 pounds.  We go in again on April 1^st for her 4 month check up and we’ll know exact then.

... wears size 1-2 diapers and mostly 6-month clothes.

... loves to eat.   She takes 6 ounce bottles at daycare and is nursing very well at home.

... just started to discover her hands more.  She loves to eat them and tries to stick her whole hand in her mouth.   There are times she’ll stick it so far that she’ll choke herself ;-)

…just starting to discover her thumb.  We are hoping to avoid that habit.

... is doing awesome at daycare.

...is slowly starting to like her baths.  Initially when she first goes in she starts to cry, but I talk to her the whole time and she’ll be smiling and happy by the end.

.. loves to be talked to.

…loves watching the ceiling fan.  We can lay her down under it and she'll kick and talk to it for quite a while.

…just recently started sleeping through the night.  We are at 4 nights in a row and hope it continues!

... is starting to gain quite the unique personality.  And is a VERY happy baby!!!!
