Carmen's First Trip to the Zoo

Andy and I both had the day off today.  Andy got it off after a LONG tax season and I took it off so we could spend the day as a family.  We spent the day at the MN Zoo with Carmen and had a blast.  Even though Carmen is still a bit young,  she seemed to enjoy looking at the animals.

After the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday we went and hung out with Auntie Laura for a while.

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday, Auntie Laura, Carmen and I went to an Easter Egg Hunt...... it was hosted by the Wisconsin Alumni Association, however Carmen proudly displayed her MN spirit ;-)
It was quite a cold day,  Carmen is a bit young yet for it and there was a sorry excuse for an Easter Bunny, but we still had fun!

Today is our Niece Riley's first birthday!

A new thing....

Carmen rolled over last night with a little encouragement, but all by herself.

Today I was doing stuff on the computer and turned around and she was laying on her belly not knowing what to do with herself..... she rolled over on her own without any encouragement.   Now to try and get a video! ;-)

Carmen is doing AWESOME at tummy time!   She can get a little frustrated but she sure has gotten strong....

Carmen and I enjoyed the nice weather this week by taking several walks.   We even walked around with Grandma and Laura!

Feeling Better

Carmen had a great day and is feeling much better.  She ate a lot of cereal tonight and is in an overall MUCH better mood!!!

Rough week.....

Update(4/4 am)..... I think Carmen has finally broke her fever.  She was warm when she went to bed last night but had no fever this morning!  YEAH!   She also slept from about 10:30-6 (when I woke up her to get her ready for daycare).  After she ate, she fell right back asleep!

We have had a very long week!  Carmen has only slept through the night once and that was Friday night after she got her shots.

Speaking of shots,  Carmen got her 4 month shots on Friday.... she's been running a fever ever since :-(

Last night was by far the roughest night we've had in a long time.  Carmen was up at 12,2,4 and 8.....she has a fever and a cold with a runny nose!!!

Cereal Time

We've tried cereal two nights now.... the first night Carmen wasn't so sure,  the 2nd night she ate almost the entire bowl I made for her........

Today is our niece Ella's 6th birthday.

4 Months

What is new with Carmen?

Carmen...

... weighs 16.4lbs and is 25.5 inches.  90th percentile for both!  We have a very healthy little girl!

... wears size 2 diapers and 6-month clothes.

... loves to eat.   She takes 3 bottles at daycare and is eating well at home too.  The past two nights she has had rice cereal.  She wasn't sure what to think of it at first but ate almost the whole bowl last night.

... is doing awesome at daycare.

...is really enjoying bath time.  She is starting to splash around and play when I have her in the tub.

.. just started babbling a lot more.

...just recently started to giggle.  Mommy hasn't been very successful at getting her to giggle but Daddy can usually get her going pretty easily.

…has had a setback in sleeping through the night.  The past week has brought a tough one for Mommy with Carmen getting up 1-2 times each night.
