Cousin's Wedding

Saturday we had Nate and DIane's wedding. It was a very fun day.  (I can't believe I didn't get any pictures of the bride and groom.).

5 Months

Wow!  Where did the time go?????  Carmen turned 5 months old on Sunday!   

I will post more pictures tonight.  (The picture at the bottom is one I took this morning with my phone while getting ready).

What is new with Carmen?

Carmen...

... weighs  16 lbs 11 oz the last time we weighed her a few weeks ago at the dr.
... wears size 3 diapers and some 6-month clothes slowly growing into the 6-9 months.

... loves to eat.   She takes 3 bottles at daycare and recently started taking one bowl of cereal at daycare.  She isn't taking the cereal as well at home anymore but is starting to eat applesauce and bananas.  .

... is doing pretty well at daycare.  We had a few rough weeks where she wouldn't eat well or sleep well at daycare.  They thought she might've had an ear infection so she went to the dr, but it was just a cold and teething.

...loves her baths.  She is splashing around much more and always wants to eat the washcloth. :-)

.. just started screaming instead of talking.  It's pretty cute.

...is laughing and smiling a Lot!  We are so grateful to have such a happy girl!

…sleeps pretty well at night.  Mommy needs to be more patient in the middle of the night when she cries/fusses, but overall is doing well.

Daycare Star!

Carmen made the daycare slide show multiple times this month.......

Although I know there are some rough times, this is reassuring in my mind that she's having fun and doing very well every day I'm at work!! :-)

Carmen's First Easter

We had a very full day today.  Started out going to church....

Then off to my Uncle Tom's where Carmen got to see some cows, sheep, dogs and cats up close.

We ended the day at Grandma and Grandpa Benedicts.  We had an Easter Egg Hunt and Carmen got lots of gifts! Thanks All!

We are all exhausted, but had a very fun first Easter with Carmen.

Big Girl High Chair

Tonight when Carmen ate, we tried out the booster chair/high chair in place of the Bumbo chair.   She was just starting to move around too much and I think she was getting too big for the Bumbo chair.

She looked so little in the high chair, but it worked out SO much better.  She wasn't able to move around as much and could just concentrate on eating.  In fact she ate the entire bowl of cereal I made her PLUS a bunch of applesauce. (it's a first for both!).  YEAH!  She's getting so big.

As she was eating I had to snap a few pictures.  Enjoy!
