5 Years

5 Years ago today I married my best friend and love of my life! 

Andy -  We have come so far in the past 5 years!  So much has changed and we are now a happy family of three.   I can't wait to see what the next 5, 10,15..... 50 years hold for us.

6 Months

I can't believe that it's been 6 months since we welcomed this little girl into our lives!   She is more than anything we could have dreamed of! 

What is new with Carmen?

Carmen...

... weighs  (I'm not sure..... she has her 6 month appt on Friday and I will update then)

... wears size 3 diapers.  She has outgrown the majority of her 6-month clothes and is wearing mostly 6-9 or 9 months depending on what it is. 

... loves to eat.   She takes 3 bottles at daycare and a bowl of cereal and/or fruit.  We've now officially tried rice cereal, oatmeal, bananas, applesauce, pears, peaches and green beans.  The only one she wasn't too fond of was peaches, but we'll keep trying.

... is doing well at daycare.

... has 2 teeth!  The bottom two front ones popped through about 2 weeks ago.

... starts swimming lessons in a few weeks with Cruz!  Can't wait to see how she handles that!

...loves her baths.  She is splashing around much more and always wants to eat the washcloth. :-)

... is "talking" more and more everyday.  

... definitely knows who Mommy and Daddy is and if we are around, she has to keep an eye on one of us at all times.

...is laughing and smiling a Lot!  We are so grateful to have such a happy girl!

... is back to sleeping through the night. (8:30ish - 6)

Memorial Day

We spent a VERY hot and humid Memorial Day at our friend's Marcus and Tammy's house.

We had a BBQ, hung out outside (I was only out in the shade for a while with Carmen), and then went to our friend Dave's Brothers baseball game.

Carmen seemed to enjoy being outside in her stroller (with shade) for a while before she got a little too warm.

Mom..... it's bright out here!

Raceway Park

Sunday night we went to Raceway Park with Andy's side of the family.    We had a very fun time.  Ella and Brooke thoroughly enjoyed the night!   Too bad little Adam was scared of the noise and refused to wear ear protection (Mike and Christina left early with him).   We definitely wished they could've stayed the entire night!

At Grandma and Grandpa Benedict's

Sunday afternoon we spent hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa Benedict, Auntie Christina, Uncle Mike, Auntie Nikki, Ella, Adam and Brooke.

At Grandma and Grandpa Skala's

On Sunday we stopped over at Grandma and Grandpa Skala's for a little while to hang out.

Carmen enjoyed her time with both Grandma and Grandpa..... I'm sure she would have loved to hang out with Auntie Laura (but she was feeling a bit under the weather.)

Day with Daddy

We didn't have daycare on Friday.   It's one of two days out of the year where daycare is closed for inservice teacher workshop day.

Andy stayed home with Carmen all day.   From what I heard they had lots of fun hanging out at home, playing and spending time together.

Teeth

Carmen officially has two teeth.  They both came through at the same time last week.
