Our little........ Monkey!

I haven't had an opportunity to upload pictures from Halloween but here are a few of the professional pictures we had taken of Carmen in her Monkey Costume.

She was SUPER cute and such a good sport.  She didn't want to be held or sit in her stroller but totally preferred to walk.  We just took her to both Grandparents houses and then to the Eden Prairie Mall for Trick or Treating.  Next Year we will be taking her from house to house.

11 Months

What is new with Carmen?

Carmen...

... weighs 21 pounds 10 ounces..

… wears size 3 diapers. She is wearing all 12 month clothes and some 18 month shirts

... loves to eat! 

... has 6 teeth. 

... is still doing very well in swimming.
  Had a slight setback last week after having a stomach flu but still seemed to enjoy being in the water.

… is WALKING!!!!!! That is currently her only form of transportation and in fact she is on the verge of running at times.

...still enjoys her bath until she gets water dumped on her head and then she’s ready to get out.

... still loves to climb the stairs

... is "talking" more and more everyday. Says Mama and some Dada.....   A lot of things she will point to and say Mama.   Recently I started saying “All Better” after changing her diaper and she now says “All B….” It’s super cute.

… Looks up in the air no matter where she is when she hears an airplane.  Even spots them far away that sometimes Mommy and Daddy didn’t spot first.

… Enjoyed her first Halloween as a Monkey! (I will post pictures soon!).  We went to both Grandparents houses and then to the Eden Prairie Mall.   She walked all around and preferred to walk by herself.  She even carried her bucket with the candy in it.

...is sleeping very well and through the night!

… continues to smile at everyone!

Happy 11 Months Carmen!

Each and every month you learn something new.  Can’t wait to see what this coming month has in store for you before you turn the big 1 years old!

New Couch....

Since Carmen enjoyed her old high chair/booster chair so much, we decided to get her a kids couch that turns into a bed.

We were not home for a while the other night and it was way past Carmen's bed time when we got home..... Andy and I were eating dinner and this is how Carmen went to sleep for the night! :-)

Reading with Daddy

Carmen has been into reading books a lot lately.  She will pick one up and bring it to you and then sit in your lap (for a short time) and have you read to her.

While making dinner one night, this is what I found in the living room......

Swimming Lessons

Carmen continues to do well at swimming.... here are some pictures from a few weeks ago with Daddy in the pool.

Carmen throughly enjoys going into her room... heading to the bookshelf and toys and pulling everything off the shelf and out of the baskets.

Diaper Baby

Carmens High Chair started to get to be too tough for her to sit in and eat and so we have moved her to a booster chair and she eats off the table now.   She had a few days where she was very interested in using her old high chair to sit in and watch TV.   Didn't last too long before Mom and Dad decided it wasn't safe......

Play Time

Just some fun pictures to show play time back when the weather was nice and we were still wearing shorts! :-)

Carmen loves to look out the front door and watch the leaves blow in the wind.  We have a small airport by our house and so lots of planes fly by and whenever Carmen hears them, she will point in the air even if we are in the house :-)

MN Zoo

I am way behind on blogging so bear with the mass updates.....

At the beginning of October we took Carmen to the zoo.   This trip was a lot more fun than previous ones as she is starting to recognize and seems to understand what she sees.

10(Should have been 9) month pictures

We had Carmen's 10 month professional pictures done on Oct 1.  It was supposed to be her 9 month pictures, however we had such a busy Sept that it turned out to be a month late.

10 Months

I can't believe that 2 months from today Carmen will be 1 years old.... where has time gone!

What is new with Carmen?

Carmen...

... weighs not sure.  I’m guessing about 22 pounds.

… wears size 3 diapers. She is wearing all 12 month clothes and some 18 month shirts

... loves to eat. Some of her favorite foods are: macaroni and cheese, spaghetti o’s, mandarin oranges, gold fish, green beans, and pizza.

 

... has 5 teeth.  The two in the middle on the bottom.  And now she has both front teeth and 1 to the right of her front tooth on top.

 

... is still doing very well in swimming.

… is WALKING!!!!!! She started to walk about 2 weeks ago and within the past few days has almost fully mastered it.  She still prefers to crawl if she wants to get somewhere fast, but mostly is walking around!   That’s quite a bit earlier than average.  Look out world, she gets into everything now.

...still enjoys her bath until she gets water dumped on her head and then she’s ready to get out.

... still loves to climb the stairs

... is "talking" more and more everyday.Says Mama and some Dada..... she’s started to babble other things but nothing with a lot of meaning.

... definitely knows Mommy and Daddy.  And seems to have a preference for Daddy unless it’s dinner time or bottle time and then she mainly wants Mommy.

Go Gophers

Just had to post a family picture from last weekend before we left for the Gopher Game.  Carmen didn't come with us, however she was sporting her Maroon and Gold at home.

Ironically, Andy and I saw the first Gopher Victory in quite a while..... could it be because Carmen had her MN shirt on???? :-)
