Sick Girl

Carmen is at the end of yet another sickness.  She had pink eye, cellulitis and a sinus infection.  Mommy and Daddy ended up at the dr. as well and we are all three on some form of antibiotics.

Carmen wore pigtails the other day and Daddy thinks its so funny to take her pigtails out and see how her hair stays in place.

13 Months!

December was a rough month for Carmen..... pink eye, stomach bug, high fever and then hand foot and mouth disease.  She is still fighting the hand foot and mouth but hopefully it's the end.

Hopefully the new year will bring less sickness for Carmen.

She is 13 months today!

What is new with Carmen?

Carmen...

... weighs ~24 pounds (just a guess)

… wears size 3 diapers. She is wearing all some 18 month clothes with some shirts either 24 month or 2T.

... loves to eat!
... is done with formula!  She is fully drinking Whole Milk now. 

... has 8 teeth.   She has been drooling and biting more lately.... molars on the way?!?!?

... is still doing very well in swimming. The last session ended right before Christmas and they recommended she move up a level.  So up to level 2 starting this week :-)
  

… is WALKING and RUNNING!

...still enjoys her bath
... still loves to climb the stairs

... is "talking" more and more everyday. She is slowly starting to repeat things we say like: Banana = 'Nana',  Shoe, apple.   When we say Monkey or Tiger she tries to make the sounds they make.  Her babbling is starting to seem like "real" words.

… Enjoyed her 2nd Christmas.  She was very spoiled with lots of new toys and clothes.  Between her Birthday and Christmas I think she's set for quite a while!  Thanks all!!!

… continues to be our happy girl even through all the sickness she's been fighting!!!

New Years Eve

We spent the day today in our PJ's all day being lazy and it was wonderful!!! Carmen has enjoyed playing all day long.

New Toys

Christmas Day

We spent Christmas morning just the three of us opening presents and spending time together.

Then it was off to my parents for the day of eating, playing games and opening gifts.  Another long but very fun day!

Christmas Eve

We were fortunate enough this year to spend a full day with each family.

Christmas Eve was spent with Andy's family.  We played, went to Church (Santa came while we were gone),  ate a very nice dinner and opened presents.  Always a fun day!

Oreos

I gave Carmen some mini Oreo's for a snack the other night.   I was amazed how she knew to pull the two pieces apart and eat the white part first..... she thoroughly enjoyed the oreo's and here's some proof.....

Updates

I've finally gotten around to updating the blog.  You'll have to go back to the Pink Eye post to get the first one I did tonight :-)

No promises for the coming month...... Christmas will be busy but I'll do my best to stay up to date

1 Year Old!!!

Carmen is now 1 years old.  We had her 1 year check up last Friday.  Besides the 4 shots she got, it went very well. She is doing extremely well developmentally.  The Dr. was very impressed at how well she's walking/running and babbling.  We have no concerns and neither did the dr.

We aren't sure if she's fighting a bug, if it's from her shots, or antibiotics but she was home with me today with a yucky stomach bug.


What is new with Carmen?

Carmen...

... weighs 23.6 pounds (80%) and 29.5 inches (70%)...

… wears size 3 diapers. She is wearing all some 12 month clothes but is slowly moving to all 18 month and even some 2T things.

... loves to eat!
... is almost done drinking formula.  We hope to have her fully drinking milk by Christmas.  We aren't concerned,  just working to finish the last of the formula :-)

... has 8 teeth.   And the dr. said 2 of her molars look like they might be working.  Her gums were very swollen.

... is still doing very well in swimming.
 

… is WALKING and RUNNING!

...still enjoys her bath

... still loves to climb the stairs

... is "talking" more and more everyday. Says Mama and Dad.  She has started to try and repeat things I will say to her.  Today she said Bath back to me and it was completly clear.

… Looks up in the air no matter where she is when she hears an airplane. Even spots them far away that sometimes Mommy and Daddy didn’t spot first.

… Enjoyed her first Thanksgiving.  She didn't care so much for the food the first time around but the 2nd and 3rd times she thoroughly enjoyed everything but turkey!

...is sleeping very well and through the night!

… continues to smile at everyone!

Tutu

Carmen got a cute new Tutu dress for her birthday.  Here are a few pictures of her wearing it :-)   Along with her Monkey slippers that Daddy bought her.
