Happy Valentines Day!

One Year Ago today Carmen started fulltime at daycare.  Hard to believe it's been a year already.

14 Months

No Pictures right now.... I will try to download some soon.

Carmen...

... weighs ~24 pounds.   When we were at the dr. a few weeks ago she was 23.8 or something like that.

… wears size 3 diapers. She is wearing all 18 month clothes with some shirts either 24 month or 2T.

... loves to eat!  She is starting to show much more what she does and does not like.
... is done with formula!  She is fully drinking Whole Milk now.   And only gets a small bottle in the morning and a bottle before bed.  Otherwise we are all done with bottles.

... has 10 teeth…. Just cut her two top molars in the past few weeks.

... is still doing very well in swimming. She is LOVING going underwater.  It doesn’t even phase her. 
  

… is WALKING and RUNNING!

...still enjoys her bath
... still loves to climb the stairs

… just moved up to the Toddler room at daycare.  Today was her first day.  It was a tough drop off but as I was leaving she had already stopped crying.   The kids normally don’t move up til they are 16 months but Carmen moved up early as she is developing ahead of most kids and was getting bored and no longer challenged in her old room.

... is "talking" more and more everyday.   Current words: Mama, Dada, Nana, Shoe, Ba ba, Monkey (makes the sound), Tiger (makes the sound), Santa, More.   She can also sign More, Please, All Done and Milk.

… is continuing to be such a fun girl!

..Misses Daddy now during tax season!    Hopefully the next few months will fly by.

Stuffed Animals

I bought a storage bin yesterday to put away a whole bunch of clothes that Carmen is now growing out of :-( :-(.......when I got home Carmen thought it was a toy.  So we put her in it with a whole bunch of her stuffed animals :-)

Zoo with Auntie Laura

Saturday Auntie Laura joined Carmen and I at the zoo.... she's getting so big and busy that it's hard for me to get a lot of pictures.  Here are a few that I took.

Lasagna and Oreos

Carmen thoroughly enjoyed her lasagna and mini oreos she had for dinner the other night.   When it's bath night we tend to let her go to town on her food.... 

Cocoa Puffs and Mickey Mouse

Carmen loves to eat Cocoa Puffs while watching Mickey Mouse on her Princess Couch.  I was able to catch a picture a few weekends ago of her enjoying relaxing on a Saturday morning.

Big Girl Bed

We were fortunate to have a toddler bed to use from my sister in law.   Since we had it at the house we thought we'd try it out.  Carmen rolled out of it the first few nights but now that we have flipped the bed around she can't roll out and is sleeping great.

Carmen's time with Daddy isn't a whole lot during the week right now due to tax season.... so she truly is so happy when he's home.

Carmen actually "liked" her antibiotics she was on a few weeks ago for her sinus infection.

Carmen likes to go between the wall and the end table, so we put a basket there hoping it would deter her... (we should've known better).

I walked out of the room the other day and this is what I came back to find. :-)  Little Stinker!

Sick Girl

Carmen is at the end of yet another sickness.  She had pink eye, cellulitis and a sinus infection.  Mommy and Daddy ended up at the dr. as well and we are all three on some form of antibiotics.

Carmen wore pigtails the other day and Daddy thinks its so funny to take her pigtails out and see how her hair stays in place.

13 Months!

December was a rough month for Carmen..... pink eye, stomach bug, high fever and then hand foot and mouth disease.  She is still fighting the hand foot and mouth but hopefully it's the end.

Hopefully the new year will bring less sickness for Carmen.

What is new with Carmen?

Carmen...

... has 8 teeth.   She has been drooling and biting more lately.... molars on the way?!?!?

... is still doing very well in swimming. The last session ended right before Christmas and they recommended she move up a level.  So up to level 2 starting this week :-)

... is "talking" more and more everyday. She is slowly starting to repeat things we say like: Banana = 'Nana',  Shoe, apple.   When we say Monkey or Tiger she tries to make the sounds they make.  Her babbling is starting to seem like "real" words.

… Enjoyed her 2nd Christmas.  She was very spoiled with lots of new toys and clothes.  Between her Birthday and Christmas I think she's set for quite a while!  Thanks all!!!

… continues to be our happy girl even through all the sickness she's been fighting!!!

New Years Eve

We spent the day today in our PJ's all day being lazy and it was wonderful!!! Carmen has enjoyed playing all day long.
