Neil and Reena's Wedding
Last night we were able to celebrate the wedding of two good friends Neil and Reena. It was not a typical wedding that I am used to as the ceremony was hindu and all the dresses and everything we indian dresses. It was TONS of fun! The whole thing was amazing, from the dresses to the barat, to the ceremony to the food and of course the dancing.

Carmen decided she wanted her picture taken the other night while walking down the steps.

I realized there aren't many pictures of Carmen and I so I decided to attempt a self portrait one night while she was being silly.
Daycare family of the month
We were chosen as daycare family of the month and asked to bring in pictures and short biographies of each member of our family. WIth the help of Andy, the following is what we came up with.

We've been so fortunate to have such a warm spring. Here are some pictures of a walk in our neighborhood we went on one night after dinner.
Spring Football Game
For many years Andy has wanted to go to the Gopher Spring Football game. We finally had the weekend free so it was off to TCF Bank Stadium . I didn't get many pictures as I was busy trying to keep Carmen happy, however we did get her picture with Floyd.

April 18th Andy had work off and I took the day off and we took Carmen to the zoo. We started this tradition last year and it's been fun. We meet another family there and spend the full day checking out all the animals.

Riley's Birthday Party
Goldys Run
I've always wanted to run a race longer than 5k. Last fall at a Gopher Football game they advertised Goldys 10 mile and from that day on I knew it was something I wanted to do. It was a beautiful race through campus and ended on the 50 yard line at TCF Bank Stadium. My sister Laura and My brother in law Adam also ran it for me.
We were very fortunate to have quite the cheering section. Andy took a few hours off work, Carmen, Andy's Mom, My parents, my sister Erin and her two kids Conor and Riley all came to cheer us on.
It was tough but I can now say I've ran a long race :-)

17 Months
I am WELL overdue for some updates... coming soon (I Promise!) No pictures in this post but wanted to get her 17 month information down since I totally ended up missing her 16 month post! :-(
Carmen….
~ Weighs about 25 pounds. I just mentioned last night that I think she might be thinning out a bit around her waist as some clothes don’t seem to fit her like they used to.
~ Still wears size 3 diapers.
~ Has initiated potty training. She will tell us most of the time when she has to go poopy, however that could mean she has to go poopy or potty and she may have already gone in her diaper. We have gotten to the potty a few times and she’s gone and gotten pretty excited. She’s still young but we are going to continue to work on it.
~ Has 12 teeth.
~ Continues to LOVE swimming.
~ seems to love the bath however when Mommy gives her a bath she loses interest fast and wants to be done.
~ Is still doing well at daycare. We were chosen as the May Family of the Month. All that truly means is we brought in pictures and information about our family and it will be posted on the bulletin board for the month. Still fun!
~ Currently in a Mommy phase. Most of the time wants Mommy to hold her and play with her. If I’m not around she’s just fine.
~ Is talking up a storm. Current words: Mama, Dada, Milk, Book, Shoe, Sock, More, Please, Love you…. attempts anything we ask her to
~ Favorite words right now are “OH NO” and “Owie” Although she doesn’t use owie in the right context.
Carmen – Mommy can’t believe another month has passed and you are now a full on active and energetic toddler with a “spongelike” brain taking everything in! You continue to amaze us each and every day with what you do and say! You are growing and changing so much.
We are so grateful and blessed to have such a smart and healthy girl!

Tired Girl
The aftermath of a long day yesterday = tired girl tonight. We had swimming lessons tonight and while I was getting some things together I turned on Mickey Mouse for Carmen to watch. I went into the living room to find this:
