Sisterly Love!

It can be a bit of a challenge (at times) with how much Carmen loves her sister.  Sometimes to the point that she forgets to be gentle.

I can't wait to watch these girls grow up together!

First few weeks

Not much going on, just getting used to being a family of four, all while Daddy is busy with tax season :-( :-)

It's taken some adjusting but we are doing well.   Here are a bunch of pictures from our first days at home.

I felt quite loved when I got home on Thursday night as Carmen cuddled right up next to me and fell asleep.

These two have quite the bond...... I LOVE watching how much Carmen adores her Daddy!!!

Introducing Emma Grace

Emma Grace joined our family in a very quick fashion last Tuesday, January 15th at 10:07 am.   She weighed in at 8lbs 5oz and was 21.5 inches long.

Carmen is LOVING being a big sister!

 

We were very lucky to have our entire family visit at the hospital.   Emma ended up being jaundice which bought us an extra night in the hospital, but luckily she is over that now.

 

 

 

We had our first appt at the pediatrician on Monday, she's back to her birth weight and all looks well.

 

We are adjusting well to life as a family of 4!!!!

 

Thanks for all the well wishes!   We look forward to introducing Emma to everyone.

 

Another Baby Update....

So this little girl has decided she's just too comfy in there.

We head to the hospital tonight with induction starting tomorrow morning...... very excited and anxious to meet our newest addition.

Baby #2 Update

Today marks 39 weeks complete .... we were hoping she'd decide to arrive today but it's not looking like that's going to happen...... .  We spent the day cleaning the house and getting things ready for her arrival (maybe that'll get things moving).   As we know though she'll arrive when she's ready and no one knows when that will be.

It seems as though Carmen is VERY excited to be a big sister.  She talks about her baby sister all the time.   The crib is set up in her room (they will be sharing a room) and Andy just installed the car seat tonight (Carmen thinks that's pretty cool that her sister will be in the car with her)..... if she doesn't make her arrival before then, my next dr. appt is Thursday and hopefully we'll know more then.

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!!!!

Christmas 2012

I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I would have liked this year.....

Christmas Eve we spent with Andy's Family and Christmas Day we spent with my family. 

Once again we were very spoiled with some very nice presents and good company. 

As always it went way too fast!

Holidazzle Parade

Since Carmen is so into Christmas Lights we thought she'd enjoy the Holidazzle parade.

It was a bit cold but so short that she did really well and really enjoyed all the lights.

More Daycare Pictures

We are so fortunate to have Carmen at a daycare where the teacher will occasionally post pictures from their days.   I think they are all from a cellphone, so they aren't the best quality, but still cute.
