I sat Emma down on Carmen's couch this morning and it was such a cute picture opportunity..... Carmen had to join as well! :-)

 

 

Back to reality tomorrow.  My maternity leave is officially over.  I will miss being home with my girls but I'm looking forward to a routine.

Through the night....

No pictures in this post, I just want to document for myself,  last night was the first night Emma slept through the night.

The girls are sharing a room and Emma has been in there the past three nights.  She slept from 10:30 - 7 last night..... hopefully it continues and we can stay on this streak as I go back to work next week! :-) :-(

No words for this!  Carmen is really missing Daddy this year during tax season!  It's pretty special to see her face light up when he gets home at night.  (I know it melts Andy's heart too!)  We'll see how Emma turns out.  Will she be a Daddy's girl or Mommy's girl?!?!?!?!

I'm trying to cherish every moment I get with these girls!   Carmen adores Emma!   Anytime I try to take a picture of Emma, she has to get right in there with her.

Emma is 2 Months

Well they say you don't take pictures as much with your second child, and unfortunately I am quickly finding that to be VERY true! :-(

I will post more pictures later, but wanted to do a 2 month update. We had her two month appt today and all is well. She's resting now after a traumatic set of shots. (Not for Mom, but for Emma). She screamed harder than I ever remember Carmen and was quite incosolable for a bit. She wouldn't even eat for me.  I am just hoping with my fingers crossed that she won't spike a fever like Carmen always did.....
 

Emma….

~ Weighs about 13.4 pounds. She is officially in the 97% for weight. What can I say, the girl LOVES to eat. She's grown an inch a month and is now in the 89% for length.

~ Still wears size 1 diapers. Based on her weight though we will be moving up to the next size soon.

~ Wearing 3 month clothes and more 6 month clothes due to being so long. We didn't get to enjoy many of the smaller clothes from Carmen.

~ Loves to eat!

~ Just started to discover her hands more. She loves to eat them and I've even caught her trying to stick her whole hand in her month. (Ironically I looked back and Carmen did the same thing when she was this age :-) )

~ Starts at daycare on the 25th :-( Although I'm not really ready to go back to work, I am definitely looking forward to getting into a routine!

~ Enjoys bath time. At first she's not so happy when I put her in the water, but will just lay and watch me as I clean her. I'm convinced we will have a very crazy bath time when she gets older and both girls are in the tub together!!

~ Loves to be talked to!

~ Will smile and "talk" back to you if she's in the right mood.

~ Sleeps about 3-5 hours at night..... I was hoping she'd be sleeping through the night before I go back to work, but it's not looking like that will happen.

~ Still sleeps in the pack in play in our room, but we are transitioning her to her crib in Carmen’s room next week...... could be interesting! (will they wake each other up?!?!?!)

 

Emma - It's so hard for me to believe that 2 months ago I held you in my arms for the first time! Time is sure flying by! You are such a happy girl that is in LOVE with your sister and your sister is quite in LOVE with you too! We are so blessed to have a healthy happy girl!!!

DIsney on Ice

We took Carmen to see Disney on Ice Worlds of Fantasy yesterday.  It was pretty cool.   We went with Andy's Mom, sisters, and families.... I never got a picture of everyone :-(

We saw Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald,  Ariel and Gang,  Tinkerbell and group,  Cars and the whole Toy Story Gang.   It was about 2 hours long and Carmen sat through the whole thing. 

We stopped at McDonalds on the way to get a quick bite to eat.  Carmen fell asleep for a short nap on the way there with french fries in her lap.
