Fredrickson Cabin

We spent this past weekend with Andy's sister and family at Mike's Dad's Cabin.  Lots of relaxing, fishing, swimming, eating and enjoying each others company.

 

 

Carmen was SOOO brave and only wanted to tube with her cousin Ella.... this was a first for Emma being on the boat.  She wasn't a huge fan, but after a few times out, she fell asleep.  Once everyone was in the water swimming she was showing interest so I put her in with Andy and she LOVED it.   She didn't really want to get out.  (She just didn't like that the life jacket kept making her lay on her back.

The girls were extremely tired and are still recovering :-)  Thank you Fredrickson's for another fun weekend.

Mommy and Daddy Weekend Away

Two weekends ago, Andy and I were fortunate to get away with another couple to their cabin without the kids.... there was lots of relaxing!  We went fishing and Andy and Jason caught a few fresh fish for dinner.

 

This is the sights of beating a storm back to the cabin while we were out fishing.

Emma is 18 Months

Emma turns 18 months today!!!!  She's definitely growing and changing like crazy!


 We have her 18 month checkup next week and I will update her stats then.


 What is Emma up to these days?



Emma….
~ Weighs  .  (Will know next week)
~ Wears size 4 diapers

~ Wears 18 months up to 2T clothes (Depends on brand and whether they are hand me downs).

 ~ LOVES to eat.   There isn’t much these days she won’t eat (or at least try).  Some of her favorites are hotdogs, mac and cheese, pizza, peaches, pears, oranges, cereal, yogurt, applesauce, pancakes.


~Has just started potty training. She has told us for a while and asked to sit on the potty but immediately says all done.   Last week she started going at daycare, but has yet to do it for us at home.
~ Has 12 teeth all the way in and her top two eye teeth have cut.
~ Continues to LOVE swimming. Carmen usually goes first at swimming lessons and it's a rough 15 min wait for her to go..... she's not afraid to dunk her face or get wet! 

~ Is still doing well at daycare. She's one of the younger in her class, but continues to improve and change.   Has caught on to the schedule and where she needs to go.  Loves to help clean up and put things away.

~Currently in a Mommy phase. But frequently asks for Daddy too.
~ Is talking up a storm.... a lot of it is still babble.... says Mommy, Daddy, Baby, Birdie, all done, pee-pee, airplane, Papa.  Tries others too: Grandma, Carmen

~When asked to say animals, she makes their sounds.  Cow - Moo, Horsey - Neigh......

 

Emma ~  Can’t believe you are already 18 months!   You continue to do everything in your power to keep up with your sister.  You are growing like a weed and changing everyday.  We Love you so much!  Can’t wait to see what the next 6 months and beyond hold!

Fourth of July

We spent the 4th of July at my sister in laws house.... started out with a water gun fight,  then BBQ,  then fireworks at home and ended with fireworks over the lake in Prior Lake.   Yet another fun year!

And for the record, Emma made it til about halfway through the fireworks......
Carmen didn't like the ones at home as they were too loud, but she made it through the ones over the lake.  About 2 min after we left she fell asleep in the car on the way home.
