Carmen's Baptism

Carmen was Baptized this past weekend. We were lucky enough to have almost our entire family join us. We missed Adam, Erin, Conor and Riley but knew they were with us in spirit and understood that they weren't able to attend.

It was such a nice day. Carmen did great during Church and she was smiling at us and didn't make a single peep when Father poured the water over her head.

Carmen wore the Baptism gown that my two sisters and I wore when we were Baptized 25-30 years ago. Such a special thing that we were able to use the same dress.

After Church, we had our families over to our house for lunch. It was finally nice outside, so we were able to spend the afternoon outside enjoying the beautiful weather.

Thanks to all those that helped make Carmen's Baptism a special day!

And then there were two......

No, I'm not pregnant................!!!!!!

TEETH! Carmen has two teeth that have popped through her gums in the last 24 hours! YEAH! We had a long, rough night last night of very little sleep, but hopefully she'll get through this fast and we'll get back to a normal schedule.

I will post pictures of her teeth once they are visible enough for the camera!

Sitting Up

Within the past week Carmen has been able to sit up on her own for an extended time. It's so fun to watch her talk, laugh and play while feeling like such a big girl. She's definitely rocking quite a bit.... we are thinking that crawling/scooting could be around the corner!?!?!? :-)

Mothers Day

I have never realized how special Mothers Day is until I've now celebrated it as a Mom! Being a Mom has been more than I've ever dreamed about. The little things I do are so rewarding and my heart melts each time I see Carmen. Each day as Carmen grows older she is gaining more of a personality and recognizing me so much more.

Carmen - You are one of the best things that's ever happened to me. I Love You more than you'll ever know!!!! I couldn't have asked for a sweeter, happier, more loving little girl. You are so happy all the time and love to give Mom and Dad hugs. I Thank the Lord each night that I was chosen to be your Mommy!

Three Generations!

Mom - now that I have a daughter of my own, I understand how much work it was to raise us and get us to where we are today. I know we've been through our share of ups and downs, but I am so grateful to have you in my life and to have you as Carmen's Grandma! I LOVE YOU!

Scooby Doo

Andy won a life size Scooby Doo several years ago at the State Fair and we still have it in our house. We are thinking he may find his way to the garbage REAL soon. So we decided to get a few pictures with Carmen before that happens.

Riley's Birthday Party

Erin, Adam, Conor and Riley were in MN for the weekend. So on Sunday we went over to my parents house to have a little birthday party for Riley. My cousin Ang, Heath and Cruz were able to come over for a while too.
